Youth Drop Ins happen every Friday afternoon during the school term for youth in Year 7 up to age 24.

Each week we offer a range of art materials as well as a safe place to be yourself, listen to some music, play a game. hand with friends.

Youth Drop Ins, Term 4 2022

This term we explored anime, steampunk, cake decorating, photography and more. We finished the term with the Te Kauwhata Christmas Parade.

Youth Drop Ins, Term 3 2022

This term we made painted a mural for the Community Garden, made Father's Day Ginger Beer, tried fractured art, made macrame necklaces, pamper day bath bombs and poi. We finished the term with an epic performance and dance with guests Just2Maori and See-niz.


​Youth Drop Ins, Term 2 2022

This term we created with raranga, comic strips, claymation, mosaics, tie dye and sfx face and body paint and more. 


​Stencil, Spray and SKATEFEST 2022

We hosted two stencil and spray skateboard design workshops in the lead up to SKATEFEST 2022 which we co-hosted with New Zealous Music at the Village Green on April 30. 


​Youth Drop Ins, Term 1 2022

In April we collaged our art folders, tried pancake art, made some mandala, cooked up some naan bread and decorated ourselves with henna. 


​Youth Hui - Fri 25 March, 5pm to 7pm

 
​Rangitahi Mural Project - Jan to Feb 2022

31 youth collaborated this summer to paint a 10m mural designed by local artists Claire du Bosky. We unveiled this on the side of Te Kauwhata Community House on Tuesday 1 March 2021.
