Youth Drop In happens every Friday afternoon during the school term for youth in Year 7 up to age 24.
Each week we offer a range of art materials as well as a safe place to be yourself, listen to some music, play a game. hand with friends.

In Term 2 we made dot art, sun catchers, yarn art, lanterns, clay totem spoons, pixel portraits, chap books, slime and a whole lot of drama.

In Term 1 Youth Drop In we explored henna, sand mandala, glass mosaics, notan squares, pancake art, fashion design and more.

This term we explored tukutuku, photography, embroidery, repurposed picture frames, made boho plates and finished the year with the Christmas Parade.
Youth Drop Ins, Term 3 2023
This term we made clay portraits, badges, paracord bracelets, squeegie art, water colours, baked from scratch quesadillas, hashbrowns and crumpets and much more, followed by end of term karaoke.

This term we explored Spoken Word, Graffiti Art, Mindfulness, Jewellery Making, Drawing, Painting and Lino Printing followed by end of term karaoke.
Youth Drop Ins, Term 1 2023
This term we designed our own bingo game, painted pop art, created yarn and wire knitted words, made shrinky dink jewellery, played with pancake art and sewed aprons.

King of the Court - Street Basketball Event, Feb 2023
Thanks to the support of TK Lions and Kainga Ora we had a fantastic day on the court. 1 on 1, 3 on 3, free throw comp, Design a basketball shoe and make a hacky sack.
Youth Drop Ins, Term 4 2022
This term we explored anime, steampunk, cake decorating, photography and more. We finished the term with the Te Kauwhata Christmas Parade.
Youth Drop Ins, Term 3 2022
This term we made painted a mural for the Community Garden, made Father's Day Ginger Beer, tried fractured art, made macrame necklaces, pamper day bath bombs and poi. We finished the term with an epic performance and dance with guests Just2Maori and See-niz.

This term we created with raranga, comic strips, claymation, mosaics, tie dye and sfx face and body paint and more.
Stencil, Spray and SKATEFEST 2022
We hosted two stencil and spray skateboard design workshops in the lead up to SKATEFEST 2022 which we co-hosted with New Zealous Music at the Village Green on April 30.

Rangatahi Mural Project - Jan to Feb 2022
31 youth collaborated this summer to paint a 10m mural designed by local artists Claire du Bosky. We unveiled this on the side of Te Kauwhata Community House on Tuesday 1 March 2021.
