Arts for All - Open StudioMonday mornings we open the artspace for people of all ages and abilities to drop by and work on their own art. If you need a little inspiration we will also offer a different art invitation each week. This is a casual, friendly space where you can explore your own creativity. In Term 2 2024 we had a big focus on mosaics and we will continue that into Term 3 for those who are interested.

Creative KidsFun classes for kids 6-12yrs. We will work with a variety of different art materials to learn technique, grow imaginations, build confidence and express ourselves.

Weaving with WendyThis roopu meets Monday evenings to explore all things flax. Experienced weavers are welcome to bring their own project. Beginners are welcome to come and learn from kaiako Wendy Katipo. Once you have attended once it is expected that you are responsible for your own harvesting and preparation of flax. We can teach you how to do that and support you as you learn this artform.

Knit & NatterEveryone is welcome at our weekly gathering of yarn lovers. Bring your knitting, crochet, embroidery or other handicraft and work along side your peers. We also have plenty of yarn, needles and advice on hand if you are a beginner looking to learn. Tea and coffee is available along with plenty of friendly conversation.

Craft & Communi-tea in MeremereJoin our kaiako every Thursday morning to make friends and learn a range of artforms. Over the past year the group has explored taaniko, tukutuku, raranga, felting and mosaics. All welcome.

Community ChoirCome along and sing for the joy of it. All voices are welcome in our Community Choir led by Jordana van Vliet. We meet each Thursday night from 5.30-6.45pm. Bring a clear slip folder and water bottle.

Whaanau NightsWhānau nights are a wonderful opportunity for young and old to come in and create together. To date we have enjoyed Tie Dye, Family Portraits, Stone & Mandala Painting, Super Sticks, My Happy Place, Faerie Landscapes and Evolving Art.
